I don’t think anyone expressed any real interest in going to Sea World, however, I just discovered this deal offered through Southwest airlines. It’s a 7-day pass to Sea World (7 consecutive days starting with the first visit). We will be staying close enough that you could conceivably go every day. So it can just be a place to go rather than an all day outing.

Here is the shirt back. It still needs some refinements and touch-ups before I can send it to the printing shop. Am also considering where I can put last names. Do people really want that? Don’t want that? Don’t care?

UPDATE: After some more tweaks, here is what I sent the printer. See if you can spot the differences! :) Decided not to add family names since there is already so much stuff.

What type of prizes ?  … notebooks, pencils, socks, random games, candy bars, crayons, coloring books … let me know.

Thao and Mei suggested Dark blue shirts for the sea and things in light blue and tan. That’s the plan for the back. The front uses yellow instead of tan because it was hard to read the lettering. The sun is yellow anyway. :)

Mei is busy so I’m taking over shirt design. I believe everyone is happy with a sea life image and each family being a different group of animal. We need to start making the shirt asap so please post in comment what animal you want. That includes Ti and Mei! You guys can choose to be the same or different. So far, this is what I have:

• Le: ?
• Lam: Shells (hermit crabs? clams? what were you thinking? please clarify)
• Tang: Dolphins
• Bui: Seals
• Avrahami: Clownfish
• Cervantes: Starfish
• Katherine: Turtle
• Richard: Tang fish – aka Dori (Sorry, Tangs, you should have thought of it!)

Please give me your choice by next Monday 5/21. Here are some suggestions:

• Fish: angel fish, clown fish, sharks
• Manta ray
• Jellyfish
• Octopus
• Whale
• Lobster
• Sea horse (*ahem any horses in the family? :) )

I just remembered that the San Diego County Fair will be going on during our reunion, so I thought I’d mention it in case there is interest in going. Anyone want to go? More info at www.sdfair.com

It is in Del Mar which is about 25 minutes from where we are staying.  Admission is Adults $13, children age 6-12 $7, under 6 free.  The costco’s in SD also often have ticket package deals too and there’s all kinds of group specials and stuff on their website (for example, every Tuesday kids under age 12 are free).

FYI, just added a new page (part of the main menu above) that is a group “todo” list, that I think can be useful to organize bringing stuff. Everyone should have access to edit and add. If you check something off, you can edit it and change “assigned to” to yourself so we’ll know who’s responsible. I know when you remove something, it doesn’t show up in the “Done” list right away but it shows up when you refresh the page. Or for a more table view, you can choose “To-Do List” from the “Dashboard” (in your account).
